Ke$ha talking shit about Miz Britney Spears: Hates It!
So, I was recently on Perez where I learned that Ke$ha disses Brit Brit in one of her new songs!
In the song "Styrofoam," K says:
"In 10 years, Britney Spears...Britney, who?"
Really, Ke$ha? Didn't you "break onto the scene" in Flo Rida's "Right Round" (February 2009)? Even then no one knew who the hell you were and didn't even care about you.
It wasn't until you came out with "Tik Tok" (August 2009) that people finally took notice of the killer sound you can produce.
Britney has been on the scene since 1992 when she appeared on Star Search only to join Disney's Mickey Mouse Club in 1993 and later hit it BIG with "...Baby One More Time" in 1999. Not to mention, Britney has sold 83 MILLION albums, won a Grammy for "Toxic" (Best Dance Recording), and had one of the top grossing tours in 2009. Oh, and let's not forget that she has been on the Forbes "Most Powerful Celebrity List."
I could continue, but then this would become another post about the sheer amazing-ness of Brit Brit.
Do you really think Britney won't be relevant in ten years? She was dubbed the Princess of Pop!! Even if she doesn't come out with any new songs, she will always be known as "Britney Spears, Princess of Pop."
The question now becomes, "Will you, Ke$ha, be relevant in 10 years?"
Don't get me wrong. I'm one that constantly rocks out to Ke$ha in the car, working out, and well, basically whenever I'm bored.
But, whatever happened to respect? The newbies on the scene need to respect those who have been in the game for over a decade.
